Solutions innovantes pour l'éco construction

In private houses, as a rule, the roofs are pitched due to attic space. The bearing elements of such roofs are layered or hanging rafters. Let's look through the most common types of roofs.

1.Green roof - implies full roof covering with living plants. We have previously discussed green roofs.

2.Metal roof - based on thin metal sheets, laid out with the help of folds. The material of such a roof is galvanized steel. The elements are joined together by single or double folds. These sheets are laid out on the crate with the help of a clamp. Clamps are narrow plates installed on the crate at a certain distance. In recent years, the polymer coating sheets begin to spread instead of galvanized sheets, because they are more durable.

3. Tiled roofs are very strong and durable, also fire-resistant and neutral to many chemical reactions. However, it also has a significant disadvantage in the form of too much weight, which entails the need for additional measures in the construction.

4. Metal roofs are steel sheets covered with a polymer film, however, they are made in the form of tiles.

5. The so-called “soft” roofs are also widely spread. They are made of fiberglass or cellulose sheets impregnated with bitumen. Depending on the type of construction, soft roofs can be divided into roll, set and leaf. So, one of the types of sheet soft roof is the ondulin roof. It looks like a slate in appearance, although it is made of bitumen-fibrous material. For simple roofs that does not require complicated details, ondulin fits most. The main problem is that this material is produced in large sheets - approximately 2 by 1 meter. If the construction of the building assumes small towers or mansards, there is a very large consumption of material and a lot of residues. In this case, it is best to use a tile. It is a small sheet of fiberglass, reminiscent of the type of shingles.

All types of roof made on the basis of bituminous materials must necessarily be built with ventilation. Otherwise, it is possible that the wooden building materials will rot (rafters, crates etc.). These roofs are very practical - they are designed for 25-30 years of operation, having high level of heat and moisture protection.

You can choose any desired roof for your own bio-climatic house from Rainbow Ecosystem. Of course, it is recommended to insulate it well, because the roof is the main source of heat loss in the house. Therefore, your house will be more energy efficient if it consists of a complete set of our panels (roof, wall and floor panels). What to cover the straw blocks of the roof with is already a matter of design and convenience.
